Abseiling

Abseiling

A red helmet and harness are fastened to my body,

I'm terrified of the cliff.

There is no escape now,

I'm ordered to come up,

Looking away from the 10m fall,

Ropes are strapped to my harness,

I'm told to lean back!!!

I lean over the edge and the rope holds me at the top,

My hands feel like they're going to let go, if I do I will fall

down,

down,

down,

I hold on, not daring to let go, knowing that I can't do anything to get back up anymore.

Up above I here Aaron shouting things like "Mind that tree!" and "Careful now!".

I take one more step and PHEW, I'm at the bottom of the cliff.

Helen the assistant helps untie my ropes, then I'm told to climb back up holding nothing but string,

To lead me through the confusing maze back up to safety.
