Abseiling

I was standing behind the rope waiting for my turn to abseil. It took a while for Poppy get to the bottom of the cliff. But then Aaron the man who runs the camp said, “Next!” Suddenly I was shocked, I was feeling nervous about the abseil and don’t know what to do, so I tell myself “You can do it”. I walked slowly to the edge of the cliff; my heart was racing like a racing car. Then I looked down past my feet, it seems a long way down so I put on my gear I was ready to go. I was feeling nervous and excited at the same time, then Aaron said “lean back”, I was petrified, but then I tried to lean back slowly. I tell myself not to look down, and then finally he told me to stop leaning back, and walk down. I felt nervous as I walked down, I was worried that I will slip but after a moment I didn’t felt nervous. It took a while for me to get down, and then finally I was on the ground. I was proud of myself for doing it, and then I wish I could do it again. I am never going to forget the moment that I abseiling. But it was time to go, it was the memory I’ve ever had I hope I won’t forget it.
